and COnservation Report:

In addition to supporting events and education throughout Southern Nevada, we at CDSN participated in a Resource Needs Assessment (RNA) with numerous leaders in southern Nevada, including the Univ. of Nevada Cooperative Extension, Nevada Association of Conservation Districts, Southern Nevada Strong and many agencies in local workgroups in the Clark County area during the 2018-2020 year. This ambitious assessment has provided an RNA template for other Conservation Districts to follow, allowing our region to understand which resources are underfunded, where money should be allocated for future projects, and provide direction for how each organization can support protecting our natural resources for future generations.

The
partners above will focus on Action plans during the 2020 year, to address the needs in this report.

Join our Local Work group Resource and Action Plan Discussions

Please join the Conservation District of Southern Nevada for a discussion on the Clark County Resource Action plans for the Clark County area. These work groups will include topics on resources including quality and quantity of water, soil, air, and area resource concerns.

Who and Why should I attend?
If you are interested in conservation, are an agricultural producer or work in the field of resource conservation, joining the Conservation District’s resource needs assessment will provide us with hearing you and your concerns. We want your input on resources in your area, how to conserve them, what is being done well and not well, and what needs to be addressed for our future.
