Nevada Electric Highway: Good News for Electric Vehicle Drivers
The Governor’s Office of Energy (GOE) is pleased to release a status report on the Nevada Electric Highway , a partnership with electricity providers and host sites across the state to provide electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure on Nevada’s five major highway corridors: I-15, I-80, US 95, US 93 and US 50. With transportation accounting for 36 percent of Nevada's total greenhouse gas emissions, transportation electrification is critical in reaching greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets outlined in the Nevada Climate Strategy .
EV charging is widely available in Nevada's urban centers, but for EV driving to and through Nevada to be possible, these five primary corridors required infrastructure support from GOE and its partners. You can view the full report here. View the report here .
