Laura McSwain is a Las Vegas native, business owner, and civic advocate whose lifelong connection to Nevada’s desert informs her work on water policy and responsible government. She is the founder and president of the Water Fairness Coalition, a 501(c)(4) nonprofit focused on fair, practical, and environmentally balanced water policy in Southern Nevada.

 

Her background includes an award-winning lending career, decades as Co-Founder and CFO of Terra Contracting, service as President of the McNeil Estates Neighborhood Association, former Planning Commissioner for the City of Las Vegas, past President of the Safe Nest Board of Directors, Puppy-Raiser for Canine Companions for Independence, and currently serves as Treasurer of the Nevada Trucking Association.

 

Outside of her advocacy work, Laura enjoys traveling, gardening and spending time with her husband, Ed, and their family.
