Calendar of Events Frequently asked questions (FAQ) What are Conservation Districts and what do they do? Conservation Districts (CDs) are state entities created to facilitate conversations, and even funding and technical support, from federal and state agencies to local producers or natural resource/conservation projects. What resources can Conservation Districts provide? CDs do not directly offer services to constituents, but can help direct them to appropriate agencies or organizations that can answer their questions or are able to provide such services. CDs can, however, provide funding support and potentially pursue grants in order to help support local conservation projects such as organizations, producers, or research.
